This is Biomecanics’ barefoot line, made in Spain and built on the same research partnership with the Institute of Biomechanics of Valencia. Barefoot construction means no heel lift, a wide last, and a sole thin enough for the foot to read the surface underneath it.
For first walkers this is more than a trend. Sensory feedback from the sole is part of how a child learns balance; a thick cushioned sole muffles it.
